MODept Labor talks on grain bin safety

Grain bin safety, handling and storage plays a very important role in Missouri farming. But working in grain bins can also be very dangerous.

Missouri Department of Labor & Industrial Relations visited with one farmer, Ron Hayes.

Hayes lost his son in a grain bin accident in 1993.

Hayes started the F.I.G.H.T. Project (Families in Grief Hold Together) to share his story in hopes to educate farmers and future generations about the hazards when working with grain.
